Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
Students are required to film content with the Creative Team around campus to showcase facilities in either the Institute of Sport, depending on your course. You’ll tour the building and demonstrate the key facilities, while giving a commentary to go along with the video.

The aim of the content is to:
 
  • Showcase Manchester Met’s campus and subject facilities to prospective international students, and give them a sense of where they will be studying
  • Give prospective international students a window into the student experience on their courses and an understanding of the added value they are getting with the course
  • Inspire prospective international students to apply for the course they are excited to study at Manchester Met.
In addition to the videos, we will ask you to write a testimonial detailing your experience as an international student and take an accompanying photo for the testimonial.

The video, written testimonials and photography will be used to promote Manchester Met to prospective students, and they may be used on Manchester Met websites, social media, email communications as well as printed materials such as prospectuses, course brochures and other promotional materials.

Times: For the filming day you’ll be required to attend for approximately 4 hours.*

We will provide a 30 min online briefing meeting to explain the requirements of the content in detail.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current international Manchester Met students who meet the following criteria -

Be a friendly, engaging and positive representative of your course, department and Manchester Met.
Feel confident in front of a camera.
Excellent verbal and written English.
Ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts.
Good organisational and presentation skills.
Presentable and professional.
Able to ‘think on your feet’.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
