The School of Psychology and the Department of Computing and Mathematics is looking to recruit a Junior Game Developer.
The role involves developing a top-down 2D game that uses game mechanics and game narrative to reflect the player’s emotional state. The game will help players of all backgrounds become better aware of handling their emotions and will educate them on Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT).
The Junior Game Developer will be responsible for the development of a demo within a set deadline, the successful student will have the opportunity to apply their own creative choices in the game, but you will be expected to work against a project specification.
You will be supervised and meet regularly with Dr John Henry and the rest of a research team that are investigating the use of games technology for Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their portfolios and experience in the games industry.
