The School of Psychology and the Department of Computing and Mathematics is looking to recruit to a Junior Quality Assurance role.
The role involves performing quality assurance for a top-down 2D game that uses game mechanics and game narrative to reflect the player’s emotional state. The game will help players of all backgrounds become better aware of handling their emotions and will educate them on Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT).
The Junior Quality Assurer will be responsible for playtesting and providing detailed feedback to a team within a set deadline. You will also work on finding bugs independently and providing detailed steps for reproducing these bugs, so they can be addressed by the development team.
You will be supervised and meet regularly with Dr John Henry and the rest of a research team that are investigating the use of games technology for Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their portfolios and experience in the games industry.
