Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
Event to be covered: Humanities Highlights - a showcase for final year humanities student work. 
 
We are seeking student photographers to capture professional headshots of undergraduate participants at a pop-up headshot session during the Humanities Highlights showcase. The ideal candidate will have experience in portrait photography and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to ensure high-quality images are delivered efficiently.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate photography equipment to capture high-quality professional headshots.
  • Ensure consistent lighting, framing, and composition for all images.
  • Engage with students professionally and make them feel comfortable during their headshots.
  • Manage time effectively to accommodate all participants within the allocated event period.
  • Edit and retouch images to a professional standard within the allocated timeframe.
  • Deliver final edited photos promptly, ensuring they meet the required quality and specifications.
  • Attend a mandatory pre-event briefing to understand the event setup, expectations, and guidelines.

Editing time: 2.5 hours 

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students.
 
The successful applicant will be expected to provide their own equipment (camera). Daylight lighting will be supplied from the AV store.
