Background
The main purpose of this role is to work within the busy wardrobe department of the Live Productions Technical Team. Over the course of the role you will assist several differing performance projects including assisting on two BA Acting productions, and MA Major Projects. You will assist students with their costume requirements and lease with professional theatre designers.
Key Responsibilities
To work with the Wardrobe technician to ensure that all production demands are met in a timely manner for both production shows and Drama Festivals.
Key Tasks
- Garment alteration and sewing
- Garment maintenance
- Using a sewing machine
- Using the connect 2 booking system
- Helping keep Wardrobe, dressing rooms tidy
- To assist with the coordination of Costume hire and returns
- Note Health and Safety hazards and issues with equipment and reporting them to Technical Staff
- To assist in the ‘Fittings Process’
- To assist with record keeping and data entry work

Dates: Monday 19 August to Friday 25 October 2024
Hours: 35 hours per week full time, except for Bank Holiday Monday
Working pattern: Monday to Friday. Working hours are 08:45am-16:30pm or 09:00am-16:45pm with an unpaid 45-minute lunch break
