The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
Information about role:
Manchester Met’s International Office run webinars and events throughout the year targeted at prospective international students to provide them with more information on the University as well as key services or processes. This job opportunity is only open to current international students.
 
The "Meet our International Students and the Students’ Union" webinar’ will form part of our 'International Pre-departure', which is designed to give offer holders useful information ahead of them enrolling with us in September. The webinar will give attendees the opportunity to hear from current international students about their experience at the University, including the support available through the Students Union. In addition, there will be an opportunity for webinar attendees to participate in a Q&A.
 

How can you help?
We would love to hear about your experience at Manchester Met, including the Students Union (although we will also consider students who have not had any experience of SU but are interested in the role). As part of the live webinar on the 17 July (13:00-14:00), we would like you to talk about your experience for around 5 minutes and answer any relevant questions that webinar attendees may have. In particular we would like to hear your top tips for future students and how to make the most of the time here at the University, including those important first weeks after arriving in the UK. We would also like you to have your camera on while you talk during the webinar. We will provide guidelines and suggestions for the topics you might want to cover and there will also be a briefing session where you can ask further questions. The webinar will be lead by a member of the Students Union and the International Office staff. We will also do a practice run before the live webinar. 

Required availability:
 
12 July 2024 (time TBC) - 1 hour
16 July 2024 (time TBC) - webinar practice 1 hour
17 July 2024 12:30pm-2:00pm - webinar 1 hour 30 minutes (including a test run before the live webinar)
Plus 1 hour preparation time between 12 and 17 July (flexible)
Total hours: 4.5 hours
All activity remote (via Teams and GoToWebinar)

This doesn’t have to be in-depth or a full presentation – just a list of key topics that you will be talking about should be fine.

This role is open to current International Manchester Met students who meet the following criteria -
 
  • Successful candidate should be comfortable on camera (this is a live webinar).
