Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
Students are required to film content with the Creative Services team around campus to showcase their project work and School of Arts facilities that they use regularly on their course.
 
You will answer questions about your creative practice, your project work and the facilities that you’ve used to create your work. You will demonstrate the key facilities while giving a commentary to go along with the video.
 
The aim of the content is to: 
 

In addition to the videos, we may ask you to write a testimonial detailing your experience as an international student. We will also take an accompanying photo for the testimonial.  

The video, written testimonials and photography will be used to promote Manchester Met to prospective students, and they may be used on Manchester Met websites, social media, email communications, third-party advertising as well as printed materials such as prospectuses, course brochures and other promotional materials.

Times: For the filming day you’ll be required to attend for approximately 4 hours*

We will provide a 30 min online briefing meeting to explain the requirements of the content in detail. 

Briefing Date: Tuesday 3 December (1:00pm–1:30pm)

Filming Date: Wednesday 4 December (9:00am–4:00pm) and Wednesday 11 December (9:00am–4:00pm) (you won’t be required to attend the full day; detailed time slots will be assigned based on availability)

Person Specification

This role is only open to current international Manchester Met Students who meet the following criteria -
 
- Be a friendly, engaging and positive representative of your course, department and Manchester Met
- Feel confident in front of a camera
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts
- Good organisational and presentation skills
- Presentable and professional
- Able to ‘think on your feet’
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
