Assist staff from the Institute of Sport on Man Met's stand at the Manchester Science Festival to be held at The Science and Industry Museum.
The department of Sport and Exercise Sciences will be hosting a stand at this year's Manchester Science Festival. We are recruiting students to work on the stand, greeting visitors and helping them to discover more about the work we do in the area of Female ACL injuries through playing with anatomical models and using a machine to test their own jumping skills.
You will be working in a team of no less than three people and will have received training on the role.
You must be studying in the Institute of Sport or a Physiotherapy student to apply for this role.
Your role:
- Support visitors during the activities. (i.e., repeat activity instructions if necessary, ask open and guiding questions to facilitate discussions, ensure participants stay engaged)
- Be friendly and welcoming and an excellent ambassador of the University.
Time and dates:
Friday 18 October 2024 and Saturday 19 October - 9:45am - 5:15pm
OR
Friday 18 October 2024 and Sunday 20 October - 9:45am - 5:15pm
and
Saturday 26 October 2024 and Sunday 27 October - 9:45am - 5:15pm
Training: Training will be given ahead of the event - timings to be confirmed.
You will be asked to indicate which of the sessions you are available for in your application and if you have any availability between Monday 21 October 2024 - Friday 25 October 2024 between 10:00am - and 5:00pm for potential additional shifts.
Location: The 1830's Warehouse at The Science and Industry Museum
