The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
As a prospectus content creator, you will help us to shape the content of our undergraduate prospectus for those looking to study with us in 2026.
We’re looking for your input on key sections within this key printed publication to make sure our student voice is represented. This will focus on your views of being a student in the city of Manchester. Depending on your experiences of student life, we may also ask you about the societies and sports you may be involved in, any volunteering or employability initiatives you may have taken part in, and more.
There are three main tasks for this exciting role:
- Having an informal chat with the marketing team about the key themes we’d like your input on, particularly around being a student in the city of Manchester – we will write up your responses in the prospectus.
- Taking part in a short photoshoot for the prospectus, so that we have the option to use your image alongside the written content we capture.
- Working with the marketing team to create some student-led content for our social media campaigns that aligns with topics you contributed to within the prospectus.
This role is an opportunity to grow in both ability and confidence, and to communicate to prospective students what student life at Manchester Met is really like. You’ll work with an experienced Marketing team, developing your skills across social media and content creation.
Dates:
from 2 October – 11 November 2024 (exact dates are TBC)
Below are time periods where we’d likely need your support, but we would only need you for either a day or a maximum of two days for each of these tasks:
2 – 9 October 2024: informal chat with the marketing team to capture the key information we need for the prospectus (1 day)
14 – 21 October 2024: photography shoot (1 to 2 days)
Late Oct – Early Nov: Social media tasks (1 to 2 days)
Hours of Work: Varied (not exceeding 16 hours per week)
Once hired, you will be invited to attend a short briefing session, to understand your responsibilities within the role and ask any questions. If you prefer to have assistance while filming for the social media element of this role, a member of the Marketing team can accompany you.
