The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The Manchester Met digital team is looking for 10-12 people to take part in user research. The research will help us improve Manchester Met's School of Art website.
Stage one
You will attend one online Teams meeting which will last approximately one hour. During the meeting, we’ll ask you some questions. Then we’ll ask you to do a task on the website while thinking out loud.
You will need to:
- use Microsoft Teams, including screen sharing
- sit in a quiet place, without distractions or interruptions
- have a strong wi-fi connection
- think out loud while you are completing the tasks, explaining your thinking and giving honest reactions
If you cannot do these things, please do not apply.
Please Note - We will record the tasks and keep a private recording as part of our research. Only the project team will have access to the recording.
Stage two
You will provide online feedback on designs and/or content for our new School of Art website. This will take approximately two hours of your time, which may be split across different sessions. Further information about stage two will be provided to you in advance.

- Stage one: 14 - 31 October 2024 (Flexible around participants schedule)
- Stage two: 2025 (TBA, will be flexible around participants schedule)
Hours of work: 3 hours in total
