This opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students to represent the faculty of Science and Engineering as a student ambassador at our upcoming undergraduate open day taking place on Saturday 23 November 2024.
The Science and Engineering marketing team is seeking to recruit organised, professional and enthusiastic students to work as student ambassadors at our upcoming undergraduate open day on Saturday 23 November. Successful candidates will be required to provide helpful information on the day to our visitors, including prospective students, on topics such as your course, the faculty of science and engineering, Manchester Met University, and your personal experiences as a student in Manchester. Successful candidates will be comfortable speaking on the benefits of higher education and the key selling points of Manchester Met.
We are looking for candidates from the following course areas within Science and Engineering. When submitting your application, please include the subject on which you currently study on your CV/Covering Letter.
- Chemistry
- Biology and Conservation
- Biomedical and Physiological Sciences
- Computing
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Geography and the Environment
- Sport
- Sport and Youth Leadership

Duties:
- Represent your course area at the open day
- Support academics by answering questions from prospective students
- Assisting academic staff with presentations and facility demonstrations
- Assist visitors with guidance, directions and general queries
- Assisting the marketing team with set-up and disassembly of signage and merchandise before and after the event
