Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

The Humanities, Languages and Social Science, Manchester Fashion Institute, School of Digital Art and School of Art Departments are looking for Undergrad and Postgrad student content creators to assist with the generation of new subject-specific marketing resources.

You will be required to participate in filming and content generation projects throughout the year. Depending on the video, you may be expected to talk in detail about your course, what you enjoy about Manchester Met, your placement or study abroad experience, or perhaps something fun and light-hearted such as ways to unwind or some of your favourite food spots.

The first project we would like students to work on, beginning in January, is creating "Day in the Life" videos.
We would like the videos to be a mix of self-shot and filmed content across A&H courses. Therefore, we are looking for students who are comfortable capturing their own social media content, talking to the camera and confident with using an editing tool/application.

Please Note: We are recruiting a pool of students to create content. You are not guaranteed to work on every project throughout the year.

Duties include:

  • Take part in subject-specific filming events e.g. guest lectures, trips etc.
  • Generate student-led content ideas for the A&H marketing team
  • Film and edit your own content (e.g. Day in the Life of a Fine Art student)

Please provide links to any content you have created on the application form.

Dates: TBC throughout the academic year

Hours of Work: TBC throughout the academic year

Details of briefing/training: A briefing session will be held before each project.
