About us
The International Office leads on the development and implementation of the University’s internationalisation agenda, including international student recruitment, collaborative overseas partnerships and student exchange. The International Office has three teams; International Recruitment and Conversion, International Partnerships and International Education Services. The International Recruitment and Conversion team plays a pivotal role in supporting the University’s internationalisation agenda, by directly contributing to the increase in international student numbers on campus.
About the role
By joining the International Recruitment and Conversion team within the International Office, you will have the opportunity to support prospective international students and helping them navigate the big decision to study overseas – you will be working on a range of different activities including but not limited to:
- Supporting international student email enquiries as well as other key channels as required (Zoom/Teams, WhatsApp, Unibuddy, in-person campus tours etc.)
- Supporting online and in-person recruitment and conversion activities for international students (i.e. webinars, calling campaigns and virtual drop-ins)
- You will also get involved in other activities – grade appropriate, that support international student recruitment as required.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about improving international students experience and who will strive to create a positive image of the International Office and the University, by being responsive and prompt in responding to requests and working within the University's overall procedures and policies.
Dates: End of March 2025–31 August 2025
Hours of Work: 8h per week between 9:00am and 5:00pm (including minimum 4 hours on Thursday), remaining hours can be flexible across the week.
Location: 6GMS (on campus)
Details of training: Induction will take place prior to the role starting and ongoing training will be provided.
