The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Are you an international student studying a Finance course?
Are you passionate about your course and Manchester Met? We are looking for 3-4 students who are excited to share their own personal experience studying at the University and feel comfortable on camera.
The video will focus on each student’s unique experience while studying at Manchester Met and raise awareness of Finance as a subject for university study. You will be required to work with our videography team to feature in filming located on campus. The videos will be a talking head style video (someone will interview you to ask you about your course) and may include footage around campus using facilities (including the Bloomberg Suite if applicable) and demonstrating any project work you might have.
We will ask you about your experiences on your course, below are some example questions we may ask you:
- How has your course prepared you for future jobs?
- How have the teaching team supported you while you have been studying at Manchester Met?
- What is your favourite part of the course so far and why?
- What project have you worked on that supported your learning and job prospects?
- Have you had the opportunity to do a placement while studying your course?
- What networking opportunities have you had to connect with employers and industry professionals?
- What would you like to do after graduating?
As well as key messages about the course, we would like students to communicate Manchester Met’s values through the video content. These are:
- Future me - ‘Future me’ is all about your personal student development journey. Your goals, your experience, reflecting on your progress and sharing your individual journey. We would like to hear how you have built skills, confidence and the experience needed to succeed within and beyond the university.
- Making a difference – tell us what you think Manchester Met is doing to be innovative and how you are driving change on your course.
- #McrMetProud - we would like to know what it is like being part of one of the UK’s most diverse and inclusive student communities. What makes you proud to be part of Manchester Metropolitan University?
The aim of the content is to:
- Give prospective international students a window into the student experience on your course.
- Showcase Manchester Met’s campus to prospective international students.
- Inspire prospective international students to apply for the course.
- Demonstrate how Manchester Met courses provide the skills, experience, networks and confidence necessary to succeed in a career in fashion or associated industries.
- Communicate the University’s key messages to prospective students.
