The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Are you passionate about studying at Manchester Met and would like to share your experience and support new international students in their journey?
The International Office are looking for friendly International Ambassadors to speak on the phone with international postgraduate offer holders and share their experience of student life at the University ahead of their arrival to Manchester Met in January 2026. Current postgraduate students are preferred for this role, however applications from undergraduate students are also welcomed.
You will have a script to follow and a list of handy FAQs during the telephone conversation and a member of staff will be there to support you and answer any difficult or complex questions. All the students you will be calling have registered to receive a phone call from our student ambassadors.
We expect you to be knowledgeable of the University's services so you are able to provide good customer service, however you will have access to a PC/own laptop to search for the necessary information on the University website in order to guide and advise offer holders. You will not be expected to discuss the application outcomes or any other admissions related questions, the members of staff will be able to handle these. The main task for you as a caller is to share your experience, provide some top tips for prospective students and hopefully create the feeling of excitement among students joining us in January 2026.
Please note as the duration of the calls can vary, if your assigned calls are completed in less time than expected, successful applicants may be offered the opportunity to complete a short testimonial form for the International Office or similar task, up to the number of hours they are booked for.
