Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

We are looking for 4 students with exceptional digital skills to join our Architectural Digital Design (ADD) Team.

The role is primarily aimed at postgraduate students, however we welcome BA students with exceptional digital skills to apply.

Each role is varied depending on your skillset, however you will likely be assisting by:
• Providing 1to1 Digital Support tutorials to students across MSA
• Assisting with the ADD Weekly Masterclass workshops.
• Assisting with the BA Skills workshops.
• Supporting our Social Media and Moodle.
• Working on our new ADD helpdesk.

For applicants with exceptional digital fabrication / 3D Printing skills, there will be an opportunity to work with the Print City & Tech Services teams alongside ADD.

Dates: 1 day per week during term time only in semester 1 & 2.

Times: 10:00am-5:00pm

Details of training: Moodle and MS Teams training will be provided.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements -

We are looking for x4 talented digital design assistants with a variety of digital skills.

We welcome applications from students with strong knowledge of at least two of the following:

Grasshopper / GH plugins
Python coding
Digital Fabrication, 3D Printing, Laser Cutting & CNC Machining
Revit / BIM
Maya
Adobe Suite
Rendering
Post-production
Motion Graphics
Data Visualization
AR / VR & Emerging technologies
General tech knowledge.
