Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students who will be based in the UK for the duration of the role to apply for; if your application is successful, we will arrange your Jobs4Students registration before you start work.
 
The Movement Unit is looking for 1 HCPC & CSP registered students on the MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine programme to join our team on a casual contract as an MSK Casual Physiotherapist. You will be mentored by Dr Tom Hughes - Co Clinical Lead of the unit. The successful applicant will be based within The Manchester Movement Unit and Platt Lane Sports Complex.

Dates: Term 1: w/c: 17th of October 2025 – 19th of December 2025
Times: 4 hours per week (typically Tuesday morning)

Dates: Term 2: w/c: 5th of January 2026- 30th of January 2026
Times: 4 hours per week (typically Thursday afternoon / evening)

Training will be given on software used for clinical notes and an induction with the clinical lead will be carried out prior to work commencing.

Please note, DBS proof, qualification certificates and HCPC registration to be provided at interview if invited.
 

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements:
 
Essential
• Must have BSc Physiotherapy
• Must be on the Masters Sports and Exercise Medicine Programme
• Must have 1 year experience post qualification, minimum
• Clear, concise verbal communication in English
• Ability to write concise and clear, reports and notes in English
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Ability to organise and prioritise work
• Ability to work well with others and pass on skills and knowledge
• Committed to personal and team development
• Professional attitude
• Ability to motivate
• Enthusiastic in the role
• Able to accept responsibilities and use initiative
