The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
MetroPolis, the University’s policy think-tank, is looking to appoint a student intern to play a key role in the launch of our annual MetroPolis Magazine. This flagship publication showcases Manchester Met’s policy-relevant research and insight, and is shared widely across the University as well as with policymakers in Manchester, Westminster and internationally.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in working in editing, publishing or communications to gain hands-on experience in a professional policy-focused environment. The intern will work closely with the MetroPolis team and provide practical support across the production and distribution process. Responsibilities will include editing and proofreading article submissions, liaising with contributors to chase outstanding content, researching and compiling distribution lists, and helping to organise and manage printed copies. The role will also involve practical support with preparing magazines for postage and coordinating delivery to both internal and external recipients.
