The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
As part of the Horizon Europe/Innovate UK – funded STRATEGIES project (https://www.strategieshorizon.eu) we are looking for students to design 3D assets that can be used in digital board games, specifically in the design of games that respond to the climate crisis. Specifically, this project contributes to our aim of providing a digital board game hacking/design toolkit through the production of 3D assets that can be used in online game design platforms such as Tabletop Playground (https://tabletopplayground.com), Tabletop Simulator, Tabletopia, and Board Game Arena. This might include things such as wind turbines, solar panels, power stations, houses and vehicles. It might be trees, animals, people. It might be objects that convey hope and positivity, or it might be objects that suggest disaster. We’ll work with you to create a list of objects once the project begins.
All work for this project will be made available online under a creative commons license. (CC NY BC: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). All work will be credited to its creators on publication, we are also keen to showcase this work as it is developed and propose to share it on the Manchester Game Centre and STRATEGIES websites, along with profiles of the artists.
