Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

We are looking for live musicians to perform on campus during our upcoming Open Day. These events are an opportunity for prospective students and their parents/guardians to come visit our campus to get a feel for what it's like to study here.

Date: Wednesday 17 June
Time: 10am – 4pm (this would be expected set up and playing time but breaks will be factored into setlist)
Briefing and set up: One hour paid briefing in the week before the event (w/c 8 June).

The performance will help create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for prospective students and visitors throughout the day.

Applicants should provide:

A link to recordings or examples of previous performances/work
Details of their setup/instruments
Confirmation of availability for the full event duration

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students. We are primarily looking for acoustic guitar performers, but other instruments, solo performers, duos, or small bands are also welcome to apply. The music should suit a daytime campus environment with a laid-back, accessible vibe for a mixed audience.

We’re happy to share a playlist reference to help guide the style and atmosphere we’re aiming for.
