The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The main purpose of this role is to provide support to colleagues and support staff for the JEI Summer School activities by assisting, and where necessary taking the lead, with research data collection and analysis during activities scheduled on the Department of Engineering, Natural/Life Sciences and Computing and Maths, similarly like during lab demonstration activities.
A support of three postgraduate students per session (one day, i.e. 7.4 hours, 9:00-16:00) are required for the activities run in their home departments. Each activity will be coordinated by lead academic/technician and supported by students. The schedule is as follow:
- Tuesday 21st of July - Engineering Workshop run by Anthony Gregory, DB 1.34
- Wednesday 22nd of July - Natural Sciences Workshop run by Dr Ian Ingram, DB T6.39; Life Sciences DEN workshop run by Dr Natasha Hadgraft, DB G.46
- Thursday 23rd of July - Computing and Maths Workshop run by Dr Masoud Ghalaii, DB1.34
Please state in your application which day/workshop you are applying for. We need three PhD students per session/day.

14:00 - 15:30 - Meet JEI staff and students at Dalton Reception and take them to the DEN G.46 for Life Science workshop run by Dr Natasha Hadgraft
