The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students; to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
We are looking for a student photographer to document a public-facing creative block printing activity at Stockroom, Stockport, delivered alongside an existing event to maximise footfall. The activity has been co-designed with young people, who will also be involved in facilitating the session.
Members of the public will be invited to create a personal block print representing their own cultural tastes, guided by a creative questionnaire developed by the young collaborators. The activity is designed to encourage reflection, creativity and conversation, while highlighting the contributions of young people in shaping the experience.
The photographer will capture natural, candid and respectful images of participants engaging in the activity, including making prints, interacting with facilitators, and exploring the creative prompt. Photography should emphasise the co-designed nature of the workshop and show participants as active contributors.
Where appropriate, the photographer may also capture a small number of informal portraits or posed images (with consent), reflecting participants’ engagement and creative outputs.
Final deliverables will include 15–20 edited event images, supplied as high-quality JPEGs suitable for web and print via OneDrive.
