Join Manchester Met’s IT Service Desk Team – ** 8 Student Roles Available **
Are you a Manchester Met student who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and learning new digital skills? The IT Service Desk is recruiting enthusiastic students to join our team for the 2026–2027 academic year.
You’ll be the first point of contact for students, staff and guests needing help with IT issues — via phone, live chat, the self‑service portal, and our face‑to‑face desk in the Library.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot IT issues using our established procedures
- Deliver friendly, professional support with minimal wait times
- Log and escalate cases when needed
- Record accurate information following our “do it right first time” approach
- Use IT support tools to diagnose and resolve queries
You’ll work either at Bridgewater House (Whitworth Street) or at the Library Service Desk, depending on business needs.

Hours & Dates
- Shifts are Monday–Friday, either 9am–1pm or 1pm–5pm
- Shifts arranged in two‑week blocks to fit around your timetable
- You must share your availability every other Wednesday of each month with the ITSD Leadership Team
- Interviews: 5 August 2026 (in person)
- Mandatory full‑time training: 7 - 11 September 2026, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
