Job Description

This opportunity is open to current Manchester Met students only. You must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

Manchester Law School will be attending The Northern Pupillage Fair in Liverpool, hosted by Speed Mooting. The event gives prospective Bar Training Course (BTC) students the chance to learn more about our courses, study opportunities, and life at Manchester Law School.

We are looking for two current BTC students to join our tutors on the Manchester Law School stand and share their experiences with prospective students.

Duties will include:

  • Speaking with visitors about your experience of studying the BTC
  • Supporting tutors with the delivery of a BTC presentation
  • Collecting prospective student details for follow-up communications

Date: Saturday 5 September
Time: 9:30am - 3:30pm
Event: The Northern Pupillage Fair
Location: The Liner Hotel, Lord Nelson Street (next to Lime Street Station), Liverpool, L3 5QB

Train travel costs can be reclaimed through expenses. Further information about this will be sent to successful candidates. 

Person Specification

This role is open to current Bar Training Course and LLM in Legal Practice at the Bar students only. Successful candidates will be selected by the Bar course team.

Applicants should:

  • Be enthusiastic and confident communicators, able to engage positively with prospective students and visitors.
  • Be willing to share their experiences of studying on the BTC or LLM in Legal Practice at the Bar course.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and act as a positive ambassador for Manchester Law School.
  • Be approachable, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team alongside academic staff.
  • Be comfortable speaking to individuals and small groups in an event setting.
  • Be available to attend the event for its full duration.

Successful candidates will be based on their suitability for representing Manchester Law School and their ability to provide an informed and engaging insight into student life and study on the programme.
