This role is open to current Manchester Met students who will be enrolled during the 2026/27 academic year and have successfully completed a Placement Year.
The Placement Peer Mentoring Scheme (PPMS) supports second-year students preparing for placements by connecting them with final-year students who have completed one. As a Placement Peer Mentor, you will share your experience, lead monthly group sessions, and encourage students to engage with placement opportunities and support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one mentoring session per month following the PPMS programme.
- Share placement experiences and practical advice.
- Support students' confidence, motivation and resilience during their placement search.
- Create an inclusive and supportive mentoring environment.
- Signpost students to relevant university support services.
- Track attendance, provide updates to the Placement Team, and attend required training and check-ins.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and safeguarding standards.

- Commitment: Approximately 2 hours per month (preparation and delivery)
