The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The Student Enrolment and Events Team is seeking a number of students to assist with the delivery of the Brooks Garden Party on Wednesday 16th September as part of the 2026 Welcome Festival for new and returning students.
This event will take place outside of the Brooks building on the Birley Campus. It offers a way for students who are enrolled on early starting courses, to meet or re-familiarise themselves with all the key university support services to find out more about life at Manchester Met. There will be free food and drink offerings, a variety of entertainment and fun activities, music, and plenty of free giveaways up for grabs.
A briefing session will take place on the day where we will allocate specific roles and explain duties.
Date: Wednesday 16th September 2026
Times: Working hours will be from 10:00am – 3:30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch to be taken)
Venue: Brooks Building, Birley Campus, 53 Bonsall St, Hulme, Manchester M15 6GX
Details of briefing/training: A briefing session will take place on the day where we will allocate specific roles and explain duties. Please report to Elle Parker and Imogen Kulavuz at the Brooks Building reception.
Duties may include:
- Offering guidance and assistance to help students familiarise themselves with the campus and the buildings.
- Assisting with the setting up and taking down of stands where necessary.
- Assisting MMU staff at stands and activities.
- Capturing students feedback through an electronic survey.
