Sport Videographer

This opportunity is open to current Manchester Metropolitan University students only. Applicants must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

Manchester Met Sport is looking for a creative Student Videographer to help capture and produce engaging content showcasing our sports clubs, fitness programmes, wellbeing initiatives, and major events.

You will be responsible for filming and editing video content for promotional campaigns, social media, and highlight videos, while building a portfolio of high-quality footage across a variety of sporting and student activities.

Projects and events may include:

• BUCS fixtures and training sessions
• Free sport and fitness activities
• Zone Out wellbeing events
• BUCS Nationals
• Manchester Varsity
• Manchester 10K
• Celebration of Sport Awards
• Promotional videos for facilities and performance sport programmes

Full project briefs will be provided, with opportunities to work on additional content throughout the year.

Duration of Role:

• The role takes place from 05 October until 28 December.
• 8 hours per week, with additional hours potentially available for larger events.

Manchester Met Sport will provide access to WeTransfer for the transfer and sharing of footage.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your portfolio, and create content for one of the University's most exciting student-facing departments.

This role is open to current Manchester Metropolitan University students only and is available for Semester 1, with the possibility of extension.

Applicants must be able to provide their own videography equipment.

Essential:

• A strong portfolio demonstrating videography and editing skills, ideally within a sports environment.
• Experience filming live events and creating content for social media and digital platforms.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of cameras and associated equipment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
• A creative approach to storytelling through video content.

Desirable:

• Experience filming sport or working within a sports organisation.
• Experience conducting and filming interviews.
• Knowledge of colour grading, audio editing, and motion graphics.
