The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Each year, from August to October, the University receives a high volume of phone and email enquiries during the start of year period. As a Student Hub Advisor, you'll play an important role in supporting students and staff through this busy time while gaining valuable customer service experience, developing confidence using University systems, and building an understanding of how a large organisation operates.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the University via phone, email and Microsoft Teams, helping to identify emerging issues and ensuring enquiries are resolved efficiently.
What you'll do
A typical day may include:
- Guiding new and returning students through the start of year processes
- Responding to enquiries
- Using reports to identify and resolve common issues, with support from your manager
- Referring more complex enquiries to the appropriate team
During quieter periods, you may also support other enrolment and student services activities. Throughout the role, you'll work alongside experienced full-time staff who will provide guidance and support.
Hours and Location
- Working pattern: Up to 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. Various shifts available, up to 20 staff per day.
- Hours: 9:30am–4:00pm
- Location: On campus, most likely based in the Library
