Are you confident in your understanding of Fundamentals of Financial Accounting (FFA)? Do you enjoy helping others succeed? Become an APG Buddy and support Level 4 students as they navigate the core concepts of financial accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support to Level 4 students in the APG module:
- Weekly tutorial sessions – Buddies will attend timetabled tutorials to support the APG tutor in class.
- Weekly drop-in sessions – Buddies will run drop-in sessions for students to access one-to-one support.
- Help students grasp key concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, trial balances, financial statements, and accounting principles.
- Offer tips and strategies for tackling difficult areas of the module and preparing for assessments.
- Share personal experiences and effective study techniques to encourage independent learning.
- Collaborate with academic staff to identify common areas of difficulty and tailor support accordingly.
- Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students.
Dates: Teaching week 2 - Teaching Week 11
Hours of work: 1 hour sessions available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
