The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The Sociology Department are recruiting a bank of Sociology Department Ambassadors to support the running of the department.
Roles available to you as a Sociology Department Ambassador could include:
- Assisting with staff recruitment (sitting on Microteach sessions),
- Sitting on the newly formed Student Advisory Panel,
- Taking part in Student Support sessions (such as 2nd or 3rd year students supporting 1st year students),
- Induction planning
This role is a way to feed into the department to positively impact the experiences of other students, while gaining/improving some of your skills, including:
- Communication
- Confidence
- Professionalism
- Social Awareness
- Problem Solving
No previous experience is needed as paid training will be given where necessary.
Please note that this is to recruit to a group of students to whom ad-hoc roles will be advertised, when available.
