Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

Are you ready to inspire future students to join us?

We’re looking for undergraduate students from the Faculty of Business and Law to work as student ambassadors at our upcoming Open Days in October and November. 

We’re looking for students who are proactive, organised, professional, and enthusiastic to support our stands at the open day. You’ll be required to provide information to attendees on the benefits of higher education and share key selling points of Manchester Met.  

Our open days are on the following dates:

Saturday 12 October
Saturday 19 October
Saturday 23 November

We are currently hiring for all three dates – so please keep these free if you are selected.

You will be required to work from 9:00am–4:00pm.

Duties include:

Representing the business and law schools at the open day.
Support academics during the open day where asked including questions and assisting with presentations.
Answering questions prospective students and guests may have.
Share with visitors an overview of the university and telling them about student life.

Person Specification

This role is open to current Manchester Met students who meet the following requirements -

You are from the Faculty of Business and Law
Are available for the dates selected
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with staff, prospective students and parents
Able to be a positive role model to young people 
Responsible attitude and the ability to show initiative 
Able to contribute and work effectively as part of a team or independently 
A commitment to providing excellent customer service and a professional approach
A positive perspective on HE, educational experiences more broadly, and the University

Additional Requirements

You’ll need to attend a briefing call at the start of the project.
