In addition, applicants should be/be able to/have:
Essential
• Qualified to NGB standards in either Football, Netball, Basketball and Volleyball as a referee/official/umpire (e.g. minimum FA Basic Referee course).
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic approach and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Demonstrate a love of sport and an attitude that will help convince people to play
• A sound understanding of the sport they are applying for
• Experience in the sport they are applying for (whether it be as a volunteer, player, coach or referee)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrate an ability to work in a team with some independent working
• Demonstrate good time management and flexibility to fit responsibilities around your study
Desirable
• First Aid and previous coaching experience and qualifications beneficial but not essential
