Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
We are looking for a motivated and reflective BSc Business Management student to join an exciting short-term research initiative, evaluating innovative assessment methods within higher education.

Role Overview
The successful applicant will support the Adobe Business School Innovation Panel project, contributing to research comparing student perceptions of traditional business case reports versus video pitch assessments. This role offers valuable insight into curriculum design, student voice, and authentic assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and review of interview questions
  • Support the collation and preliminary analysis of student responses
  • Share insights from your own learning experience during a short reflective meeting
  • Contribute to recommendations on assessment design based on findings

This is a flexible role designed to complement your existing study commitments. The total time commitment is estimated to be around 5–6 hours.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements - 

Essential Criteria

  • Current student on the BSc Business Management programme
  • Completed or currently completing the module: Employability Skills and Managing Your Digital Footprint
  • Interested in assessment design and how students learn
  • Willing to reflect honestly on your own experience of assessments

Desirable

  • Experience with both video-based and traditional written assessments
  • An interest in pedagogy, curriculum, or educational change
Please note: This opportunity is only open to students enrolled on the BSc Business Management programme. You will be asked in the application whether you have completed Employability Skills and Managing Your Digital Footprint as part of the screening process.
