The Faculty of Arts and Humanities are looking for two interns to assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of a range of internationalisation of the student experience activities for the remainder of the 2024 – 2025 academic year. This will include both social and cultural events to support the growing community of Arts and Humanities international students, and internationalisation of the curriculum activity for all our students. Interns will also gain experience assisting with the preparation, publicity, delivery and reporting for Go Global Week (3 - 7th March 2025), supporting Faculty level activities before during and after the week including preparation of a final report.
Go Global Week delivers international activities both within the taught curriculum across the Faculty and also extra-curricular activities open to all students. This focused week is part of Manchester Met’s commitment to creating international opportunities for both home and international students, ensuring that all of our students graduate with a global outlook and cultural competencies.

These positions are for up to 150 hours between now and the end of the academic year on an as needs basis, project by project. Work will be both on campus and remote, fitting around your studies. Whilst it is not generally anticipated that you will be working more than 8 hours a week, you must respond flexibly to the changing demands of the job and the activities you will help to deliver. For example, more hours will be needed during Go Global Week and the Faculty Summer School for partner institutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Support staff working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of cultural and social activities for international students.
- Support the delivery, promotion and reporting of Go Global Week.
- Support the planning and delivery of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities international summer school.
Key tasks:
- Support members of the international team with the organisation and delivery of Go Global Week, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Summer School and other international events and activities throughout the year.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Create digital content to advertise, support and document events and activities.
- Promote events to students through appropriate channels, creating comms and visual materials.
