The Heritage & Humanities Research Group are a research group based in the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), consisting solely of MSA research staff. We are currently seeking a 'Heritage & Humanities Student Lead' with an interest in research and an inquisitive mind to support the development, logistics, and delivery of the research group's annual Away Day. You will assist the research group co-Leads directly and contribute to the research culture of the MSA through helping with the delivery of the away day.
The Heritage & Humanities Research Group is based within the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA). It is an emergent research group within the broader Faculty of Arts & Humanities. Our mission is to advance interdisciplinary scholarship at the intersection of cultural heritage and humanities, exploring and transforming these fields through innovative research. We aim to understand and enhance the relationship between people, their environments, and cultural narratives by integrating historical, contemporary, and future perspectives.
The Heritage & Humanities Student Lead must be an organised, career-oriented, and professional Final Year (Level 6) BA(hons) Architecture student or M.Arch student (Level 07) at the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA).
The successful candidate must have demonstrable abilities to support academic research staff (the research group co-Leads) in the delivery of the following:
- To support co-Leads in the organisation of in-person and hybrid workshops and activities as part of the annual research group away day
- To support co-Leads in the delivery of the annual away day
- Preparation of any required materials (activities, promotional, graphic-based, or otherwise, to support delivery)
