The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The Central Outreach team are seeking to recruit students (with an interest in Creative Writing) to welcome a group of school students onto campus. Priority for these roles will go to people who have worked previously with the Poetry Library or as a school’s ambassador. The successful candidates will meet the teenagers, accompany them to workshop sessions and lead a walking group tour around a pre-determined route of the campus.
This is an opportunity to shadow and support experienced writers leading a workshop with young people.
You will be expected to provide a positive and informative perspective on all aspects of studying here at Manchester Met and being a part of the Manchester Met University community.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the workshop leader in the creative writing workshop – by participating and assisting pupils where necessary.
- Answer questions about university, direct complex questions to Outreach and teaching staff.
You will receive full briefing to ensure you can support and guide students successfully and confidently and support workshop leaders during the workshop activity.
