The Faculty Outreach team are seeking to recruit 2 students studying at the School of Digital Arts (SODA) to take part in the PlayStation Career Pathways Program Non-residential Summer School. It would be preferable if you are currently a recipient of the PlayStation Career Pathways Program Scholarship. If you are, please state this in your application.
The PlayStation Career Pathways Program Non-residential Summer School is aimed at individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds who are currently studying in Year 12 or equivalent at a college or school and have an interest in studying the digital arts.
The successful candidates will be expected to share their experience of studying at SODA and the PlayStation Career Pathways Program Scholarship (if applicable) with the students during an introductory session, be on hand to answer any questions during a Q&A session, interact with the students during the workshops and attend the ‘Show and Tell’ session.
You will be expected to provide a positive and informative perspective on all aspects of studying here at Manchester Met and being a part of the Manchester Met University community.
Responsibilities
- Network with the students across the 3 days
- Take part in a Q&A session and share experience of studying at SODA and the PlayStation Career Pathways Program Scholarship (if applicable)
- Answer questions about university as you interact with the students across the 3 days. You can direct complex questions to Outreach and teaching staff.
- Assist the academic lead during the workshops – by participating and assisting visiting students where necessary.
You will receive a full briefing to ensure you are able to guide students successfully and confidently around the campus and support the workshop activity.
Dates: Tuesday 15 July until Thursday 17 July
Hours of Work: 10:00am-3:00pm
