Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

The applicant must have an interest in Quaternary Science, specifically with the laboratory analysis of lake sediments. Prior experience of sedimentology would be beneficial. Duties will typically involve sub-sampling lake sediments, producing sediment logs, and analysing samples under supervision.

Dates: 16 June 2025 - 11 July 2025

Hours of Work: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements -

Experience of analysing Quaternary sediments.
Experience of laboratory working (i.e. gained through undergraduate modules) would be beneficial.
Understanding and knowledge of glacial and Arctic environments.
