Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
 
Education Services are looking for four Quality Assurance Assistants to work as part of a small team undertaking reviews of student-facing content within the University Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) (Moodle). Successful applicants will review Moodle content against predetermined criteria and complete a standard questionnaire for each unit reviewed.  The work will be undertaken wholly on campus at 6 Great Marlborough Street. IT equipment will be provided.  

Successful applicants will receive paid training on Monday 30 June, which will include provision of system access, system navigation guidance, details of quality expectation standards, and questionnaire completion guidance. A member of the Education Services team will be available throughout the role duration to provide ongoing support. 
  
Dates: Mondays to Fridays starting from Monday 30 June to Friday 18 July 2025 
Hours of work: 9am – 4pm, with a 30 minute lunch break 

Please note that we will give equal consideration to candidates that are unable to work all 15 days (for example if your graduation ceremony takes place during week commencing 14 July) but you must be available for at least 10 working days within the stated period. Candidates must let us know of all relevant prior commitments at interview stage.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who have/are:

- proficient in working with standard office IT applications e.g. Microsoft Excel.
- the ability to learn how to access and interrogate an in-house system.
- the ability to work at pace with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- the ability to assess written information quickly, and provide accurate and succinct notes in a predefined format.
- collaborative approach to working effectively as part of a team to achieve shared and individual deadlines.
