Graduate Outcome Internship
The School of English has recently expanded to incorporate programmes in Languages, Information and Communications, and Performance, as well as Literature, Film and Media, and Creative Writing. The new school employability team wishes to recruit a Graduate Outcomes (GO) Intern. The GO Intern will support and lead activities in our newly interdisciplinary school that:
a) Support the development of professional skills in graduates and undergraduates from across our wide range of programmes
b) Promote activities which will support the development of graduate level skills
c) Raise awareness about the Graduate Outcomes survey
d) Establish strong connections and develop community between the school and our recent graduates.
Key activities
- Creation of a database of the Class of 2024 from MMU Department of English, MMU Languages, Information and Communications and MMU Department of Performance and Art. This will involve making contact with graduates from the Class of 2024 to identify their current roles.
- Contributing content to the Department of English LinkedIn page and encouraging graduate engagement with LinkedIn
- Raising awareness about the Graduate Outcomes survey
- Promotion of activities which will support professional skills (e.g. LinkedIn Learning, Rise courses, Careers Service)
- Mapping of employability activities in the new School of English.
