The Rise Team are looking for Postgraduate/Undergraduate students to work as Digital Mentors.
Dates: 29 September 2025- 31 May 2026

This role is open to current Manchester Metropolitan students who have undertaken the training and certification exams as part of either the Microsoft, Adobe or Project Management Certification Scheme (preference will be given to students who have received all three). There are up to 10 positions available.
This is an exciting opportunity to help develop the digital capabilities of Sociology students at MMU. During Semesters 1-2, there will be a series of events that will allow students to undertake the relevant training and complete a certification exam for their chosen application.
Digital Mentors may support, and eventually lead, in the facilitation of several kinds of events;
- Q&A Drop-in sessions
- “How to” sessions
- Half-day and full-day study events
- Exam sessions
Mentors will be working with students to help them:
- complete the relevant training for their certifications
- understand the results of practice tests
- determine areas required for improvement to pass their certification exam
- provide assistance to students struggling with particular tasks
- identify software issues
- proctor exams
