The
current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply
you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
We are seeking to recruit two Placement Ambassadors to support current Level 4 & 5 students by enthusiastically promoting the benefits of a placement year, through a range of activities and events, and providing appropriate guidance and advice.
This is a great opportunity for students to further build their CV, put their placement experience to good use, and have a positive impact on their peers. You will be expected to lead discussions and share ideas around your experiences and signpost students to the support provided by the Placement Teams, Career Advisors or Personal Tutors.
If successful, you will be:
- Running targeted promotion of Placements and Internships to support Level 4 & level 5 students interested in securing a Placement or Internship role.
- Providing of information and guidance at events, on promotional stands and through peer-to-peer activities e.g., application form support, and drop-in sessions
- Collaborating with staff from across the University and specifically, the Sport Employability Lead, Programme Leaders, Year Tutors and the Careers Team.
- Attending training and debriefs where you will receive support, resources, and feedback.
- Signposting students to specialist and further support provided by the Placement Team, Career Service, RISE Team and Personal Tutors.
- Develop promotional materials (such as articles, blogs, videos or media articles) by collecting testimonial and feedback from students and placement employers.
- Work on additional activities and events if & when required.
- Attend Open Days and Visit Days to speak to prospective students about your placement experiences

Dates: The role will run during the Academic year from Mon 13 October to Friday 29 May 2026.
You will be required to attend an initial briefing & training session.
