This collaborative project supported by MMU staff, Manchester Histories Festival and the public which will bring together people from across our diverse city to create a large-scale textile tapestry that reflects the stories, cultures, and history that shape Manchester from its incorporation as a city in 1853 to the present: Through fabric, thread, and shared creativity, we aim to capture the spirit of unity, resilience, and identity that defines our community where it will be on show at Manchester Town Hall 2027's opening.
Duties may include:
- Creating and edit content (images, videos, captions, stories)
- Help manage posting schedules and maintain the content calendar
- Monitor social media platforms for comments, messages, and mentions.
- Engage with followers by liking, commenting, or responding to inquiries.
- Track and record performance metrics (reach, engagement, impression)
- Brainstorm new ideas for campaigns, posts, or engagement strategies.
- Gather and organize user-generated content for reposting
- Support special events or campaigns by creating live content or updates.
- Prepare summaries of social media activity for the team.
