This opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students to represent the Language Programme (BALLT) as a student ambassador during upcoming in-person and online outreach sessions.
The Outreach team is seeking to recruit organised, professional and enthusiastic students to work as student ambassadors during upcoming in-person and online outreach sessions. Successful candidates will be required to participate in sessions delivered by the Language outreach team. You will need to provide helpful information to pupils studying languages in secondary education, on topics such as your course, the faculty of Arts & Humanities, Manchester Met University, and your personal experiences as a student in Manchester.
Successful candidates will be comfortable speaking on the benefits of studying languages in higher education and the key selling points of Manchester Met. They will also be able to highlight the benefits of studying languages from an employability perspective.
We are looking for candidates from the BALLT programme with a preference for L5/L6 BALLT students

- Represent your course area during informal Online Q&A sessions.
- Support academics by answering questions from pupils studying languages at GCSE and A-Level levels.
- Assisting academic staff with presentations and outreach sessions.
