The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students who will be based in the UK for the duration of the role to apply for.
Manchester School of Architecture is looking for a student to support the production and promotion of the “Just One Building” lecture series.
Architects or designers are invited into the school to discuss the design process behind ‘Just One Building”. This is from initial discussions with the client, through the development of the design, the construction process and ending with reflections about the building. These will reflect and expand on different areas depending on each specific lecture, the agenda of the architect, the client, the building, and will cover elements of cultural significance, conservation, retro fit, sustainability etc.
There are 12 individual lectures – spanning semester’s 1 and 2. The speakers will be invited by the programme leaders, but the publicity will be organised by you.
Duties will include -
- Designing adverts for the lecture, both digital, hard copy and social media
- Organising hard copies of the posters
- Social media before and after the talk
- Liaising with the architect before the lecture collect appropriate drawings and other images
- Collecting of images during the talk
- Recording the lecture and processing the talk so that it is suitable for distribution to MSA students in our MMU Tube Chanel
