Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

We are looking for students to support the smooth running of a VR exhibition taking place in the SODA building.

As an Invigilator, you will help invigilate the exhibition, support visitors in using VR headsets, and provide a friendly, welcoming presence for audience members. You’ll also offer basic guidance on how to operate the VR equipment and ensure everything runs safely during the exhibition sessions.

Dates & Hours
Exhibition dates: 5 November – 2 December
Hours: Afternoon shifts, 1-5pm
Availability:
1 position: 10 hours per week (2 afternoons, 1-5pm)
1 position: 15 hours per week (3 afternoons, 1-5pm)

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who meet the following requirements -

Essential

Interest in immersive or interactive experiences
Confident, friendly, and comfortable engaging with the public
Reliable and punctual, able to commit to either 10 or 15 hours per week for the duration of the exhibition
Able to remain attentive and proactive while supervising the space

Desirable

Experience working or volunteering at events or exhibitions
Familiarity with VR or other digital media technologies
