The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Are you keen on creating your own content? or maybe sharing your experiences with other students? This could be the job for you! We require a number of students to be digital ambassadors, to represent the university on our Unibuddy platform.
Digital Ambassadors will share their experiences of being students at Manchester Met so that prospective students can get a better idea of what it is really like studying at the university.
The role will involve you replying to messages sent from prospective applicants who wish to speak to current students via online chat and instant messaging. You will also be required to create a profile on the Manchester Met website and you will be asked to contribute to student led content which will include both videos and blog posts relating to student life at Manchester Met, and your own experiences at the University.
As a Digital Ambassador, you will also be involved with our Unibuddy Community at different times of the year. Unibuddy Community is an invitation only platform for offer holders joining the University and aims to encourage them to join conversations and make friends with other students also coming to the university in September 2026. Digital Ambassadors will join groups on the Unibuddy Community platform, start conversations, engage with applicants, and generate video and stills content for the site, making students feel part of the university before they arrive.
You should be a keen content creator, comfortable making video content for upload to our Unibuddy platform, and possibly the University social pages, as well as happy to chat to, and advise students about university life. You will be required to have a profile on the Unibuddy platform and download the Community app to your phone. Other activities around online events, social media, blogs and content creation may also form part of the role.
Hours for this role are up to 4 hours per week, as this is dependent on how many chats come through each week and how involved you are with making content.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
