The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
The Manchester School of Architecture is looking for a student with strong graphic skills and experience in creating publication material to assist with the second edition of the Architectural Humanities publication for the End-of-Year Show and beyond. The applicant should have experience in Adobe Digital Editions and provide examples of graphic work ready for physical and/or digital publication. The candidate will work independently (with guidance from the Humanities Lead) to carefully curate and review the selected material. Therefore, a strong knowledge in the field of Architectural Humanities (ideally an MA or MPhil) is desired.
The publication will showcase student work in the Architectural Humanities across multiple MSA programmes. This is an opportunity to be involved in the development of the new visual identity for the Architectural Humanities and its strengthening as a field that has the potential to provide the knowledge and skills for students to become curious, critically thinking, and fully engaged individuals and to develop the capacity to challenge the industry and the kinds of solutions that are offered.
Duties may vary from day to day. You will liaise with the Humanities Lead every one-two weeks (30 minutes) and then work independently (5-10 hours a week, depending on your studies) designing the layout and visual language for the publication.
