Job Title: Marketing & Business Support Intern (Remote)

Job Description: 

We are pleased to offer a remote placement opportunity for a Manchester Metropolitan University student to join our growing language services agency, which specialises in delivering high-quality translation and interpreting services. This internship is designed to provide structured, practical experience that supports academic learning outcomes while developing employability skills in a real business environment.

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & LinkedIn Content

  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for the company’s LinkedIn page

  • Support brand awareness through consistent, professional messaging

Content Creation & Design

  • Create marketing materials and internal documents using Canva

  • Design professional, on-brand visual assets

Communication & Business Support

  • Communicate professionally with customers and suppliers via email

  • Support general administrative and business support activities

Organisation & Workflow Support

  • Organise workflows related to content creation, customer surveys, onboarding, and administration

  • Work independently while engaging effectively within a remote team

Customer & Supplier Engagement

  • Support supplier recruitment and onboarding processes

  • Assist in the creation, distribution, and monitoring of customer feedback surveys

  • Develop confidence in professional stakeholder communication

Website & Digital Operations

  • Assist with updates and improvements to the company’s Wix website

  • Help ensure website content accuracy and a positive user experience

Team Collaboration & Learning

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across marketing, operations, and supplier management

  • Gain insight into how different business functions work together within a language services agency

Details
Dates: Start date: ASAP 
Hours: Either 3.5 or 7 hours per week on Monday and/or Tuesday. If 7 hours per week is preferred, this would need to be on a Monday. 
Location: Remote
 
This role will be for up to 75 hours work.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who have:

Essential Criteria

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience creating content for a LinkedIn page

  • Basic experience creating visual content using Canva or similar design tools

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and an interest in professional digital marketing

  • Strong written English skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow structured processes

  • Basic IT skills, including confidence using online platforms and digital tools

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Professional and polite written communication style

  • Comfortable communicating with customers and suppliers via email

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team

Personal Attributes

  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn

  • Able to work independently in a remote environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable Criteria

  • Interest in marketing, communications, business support, or language services

  • Experience working with websites, particularly building websites using Wix

  • Experience supporting administrative or operational tasks

  • Interest in working in a growing, quality-focused organisation
