The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.
Three students are required to be participants for a practical exam where various body measurements will be taken.
Persons will be required to wear shorts and a tee-shirt/vest. The tee-shirt will need to be removed for some measures. It is advised that females wear a sports bra that allows access to the back around the shoulder blade.
Models will have various anthropometric landmarks marked on their body with pen, following this, various measurements will be taken.
These measures will include some of the following:
- Skinfold thickness: abdomen, back, hip, thigh, calf, arm. These are measured with skinfold calipers.
- Circumferences: arm, calf, waist, hip. Measured with a tape measure.
- Bone breadth: wrist, elbow and knee. Measured with bone breadth calipers
- Height, weight, arm span. Measured using stadiometer, weighing scales and a tape measure.
